I really enjoyed reading this book. I have much belief in the sources he used for healing and was amazed at how quick and effective he explained them. It’s one of my passions to visit South Africa and discovery what many call the land of the healing.

It seems like a book that will make readers see and spread positivity beyond the negative or challenges that each individual faces. The author Joel Nathan is a great man who fought a good fight against all odds and came out victories after being diagnosed of cancer,I rilly admire him not only for sharing with us his story but also for motivating and giving hope to other people facing what he went through.

Seems a pretty good book, but I am not interested. Regarding the review, it is descriptive but has not mentioned whether the author has written it in a way of story telling or in a philosophical manner. This is important to me since I do not like to read philosophically written work. And not finding any error is a bit odd as I feel. Anyway thanks for the review. For those who prefer to read this kind of books, I must mention that the language is pretty strong and it gives the message directly to your head. Congrats on being BOTD

This story looks inspiring. I've always thought "sentences" on a cancer diagnosis is nonsense, because no human works the same.

Thank you for your review and starting it with a quote from his book - the rhyme - really helped to know more about the book. I think this story sounds great and I can't wait to read it. I admire a story where the narrator overcomes and it seems this one has been through so much. I lived on a stoke ward after my surgery and I went to years of PT OT and ST after my brain injury - I'm curious to know more about the author's own recovery.

It is quite impressive how this heroic character manages to overcome numerous difficulties. He is brave, and his optimism seems contagious. The writing style of the author is brilliant. There is no doubt about that in my mind. The author has fused the concrete with the philosophical. His sentences don't run too long. He uses just the right words. His love for language is evident from his idioms, and for this reason alone, I love this book.

I couldn't agree more. I've only sampled the first few pages of the book and I've already fallen in love with Joel's use of words. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book. Great review!

I'm actually on the fence, here. This isn't the kind of book I usually go for, yet I'm curious as to how the author overcame everything, especially since the Amazon synopsis says there's no cure AND he tried everything but then turns around and mentions "the miracles of modern medicine". Was this some new medicine he stumbled upon?... In any event, thanks so much for the review; now I've got some food for thought.

He is very strong survivor and had a hard time but he fight his illness that make a good and positive impact of the book..

This is one book that I think will be a refreshing and inspiring read, given the lack of self-pity and also the courage with which he went through and beat these odds. Amazing.
