From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction set in Philadelphia in the 1930s focusing on a group of housewives that conspire with a local tailor to murder their husbands for the insurance money. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

"The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti. An interesting historical fiction based on a true life story. Talks about the Philadelphia housewives, they individually do conspire with a local tailor, on how to kill their husband. Why? Because of insurance money. Giorgio DiSipiois is the the tailor. This book is captivating just like a movie. Congrats on your #BOTD.

I enjoyed your review. I have looked at this book several times to review it, but I chose something else for some reason. Now, after reading your review and the book's sample, I think that I will definitely choose it next time. You are right; the title, The Wicked Wives, is misleading.

"The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti is honestly worth adding to my shelf and more interesting to read. At first, as I saw the name, I thought it was a book that focuses on a quarrel story but after reading the review online book club by Bookowlie, I found out that the book is worth reading, it can be recommendable for those who love nonfiction stories knowledge about 1930

The interconnections within our society and our personal lives are amazing. Some are better, some are worse. This book is well written and engaging.

It's brilliant that the author wrote a whole story based on facts that happened a long time ago. It's hard to believe that the plot is real—a bunch of housewives killing their husbands for insurance money in the 30s. I'm very intrigued by the plotline, so I'll check this book out.

Nice review. In "The Wicked Wives", Gus Pelagatti narrates the famous Philadelphia murder cases , where Wives of husband approached the tailor Giorgio, for murdering their husband's for the sake of insurance money.

The wives' individual stories and motives are very interesting. I like the fact that the tailor manipulates them in a way, even if the women are willing participants. It seems a captivating story. Congrats on BOTD!

Thank you for your nice review on, The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti. This one I definitely put on my reading shelf because it sounds like a a book I could really get into haha. The fact that these women murdered their husbands with the help of the tailor just sounds ridiculous but it was true. I'm looking forward to reading this true story. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

That is wild. I was't expecting that. A historical fiction about how a tailor makes money. What was on this tailor's mind? I feel that this book has a lot to offer. This would make a very good movie series. It s more than just juicy crimes. I also think that the book's cover doesn't work much to attract a wider audience. Anyways, thank you for the recommendation. Your review is amazing.

Just the title alone sent chills down my spine. What a plot of a story. I’m looking forward to digging into one to find out how the murderers were caught and put behind prison cell.

An interesting story that puts you in 1930’s Philadelphia where I could just hear and feel the gangster vibes. I didn't realise the history behind this piece of fiction, but it seems the kind of thing that would be discussed on a crime podcast.
