It's absolutely up to the individual to have the willpower to implement a change from bad habits to good habits, so your version of the title, The Power Over Small Bad Habits, is correct. Thank you for your appreciation!
Yes, absolutely. I can relate to it being about the individual and going at one's own pace. I find this book and your review interesting because, incidentally, I am in the process of trying to develop good small habits. I'd listened to a podcast on tiny habits and was inspired to try it out. I guess this is similar to what I would have heard on the podcast.

Thank you for another great review!
The premises are likely very similar. Thank you for your appreciation.
Ciao :)

The Power of Small Habits by Sir. Constantine is a book full of suggestions to improve our life through small changes. Humans are creatures of habit, but habits can be bad, causing negative consequences that can go from preventing us from achieving our goals to damaging our health. In our life, we can have moments in which we're stuck in a negative situation, but we can change it. Sometimes change requires help, and the right suggestions can lead to big changes. In many cases we don't need to turn our life upside down to obtain significant improvements. This book offers great tips to recognize our bad habits and change them.

This book is made of 7 sections that cover different aspects of people's lives. They're all important in the creation of good or bad habits, which means that they all influence people's lives one way or another. That's crucial because achieving our goals requires hard work, but how can we work hard and give our best if we're not sleeping well or we're eating junk food? The ancient Romans had a proverb that says "mens sana in corpore sano," which means "a healthy mind in a healthy body." Sir. Constantine applied that ancient proverb to modern life.

The thing I appreciated the most of this book is how Sir. Constantine used simple words and examples connected to our everyday life to explain which habits can harm us and which habits can help us. The author used some jargon in the section about eating habits to explain why too much sugar is bad and to suggest certain types of food that can improve our energy and our health. However, that jargon was needed to explain which compounds are part of our food and their effect on our bodies. Occasionally there are references to neuroscience, but the expression "brain science" is used to make it more understandable.

There are a lot of interesting suggestions in this book, and many can be easily implemented. Of course, big changes require time and commitment to work on bad habits and replace them with good habits. Sir. Constantine is very honest about it, and explained that it's a process you go through step by step, similar to sports training. It can be painful, it can be a bumpy road, but you can learn to deal with failure and turn it around without beating yourself. A positive mindset isn't only a philosophy of life, it's also about practical applications to your life with good habits.

If there's one complaint I can make about this book is that sometimes Sir. Constantine mentions the 3%, and even the 1%, the most successful people, giving the idea that you can join that elite adopting the habits described in the book. Of course, there's no guarantee that you can achieve that, and a lot depends on your goals. To be fair, occasionally the author mentions possible goals that don't require becoming one of the richest people in the world.

The book is less than 200-page long, so you can read it quickly, but that's just the beginning. Each section ends with a summary that helps you to remember its main points. However, it's crucial that you honestly look into your habits and your motivations to change the bad habits that are harming you. Sir. Constantine also has a newsletter with more tips.

The book contains just a few errors, but they're just words after a full stop with no space between them, so overall the editing is professional. There are neither profanities nor sexual references. For these reasons, my rating is 4 out of 4 stars. Our society is chaotic and full of distractions, The Power of Small Habits can help you to increase your control over your life to achieve your goals.

I wonder what would make readers choose this book over Atomic Habits. They are similar, except one is well known and one is not.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:
