I am surprised to read that the heroine "had mental breakdown on her daily jog", because I always believed that it didn't happen unprovoked. At least in all my experiences, some kind of trigger was involved, but maybe not everything was written in the review and I should read the book for details.

I'm not a fan of long thrillers, but would like to find out how Jennifer's and Dr Young's paths crossed. Although the content might have some disturbing content, if you are up for a story like this, I highly recommend it.

It sounds like *House of Giral* by Mark Laurence Latowsky offers a captivating start, especially with its well-developed characters and vivid imagery. I appreciate how the reviewer highlighted the initial mystery that hooks the reader, but it's unfortunate that the story's momentum seems to falter after the mystery is resolved. The shift from an engaging thriller to a more predictable "good guys vs. bad guys" scenario, along with the overload of scientific detail on psychedelics, seems to have detracted from the experience.

Still, I can see how this book would appeal to fans of darker thrillers, especially those interested in psychological themes and complex character studies. The warning about the disturbing content and the mention of heavy themes like drug abuse and sexual violence are important for potential readers to consider. Overall, it seems like a solid read despite its flaws, and the 4-star rating feels fair given the strengths and weaknesses noted in the review.

Dr. Young's unique program for treating mentally ill patients sounds interesting. This fast-paced thriller features a dark, engaging mystery that includes disturbing content such as drug abuse, domestic violence, rape, etc.

I think the book has a fantastic plot and story-building, but a perfect ending can spice up a well-written book. I still think the doctor is suspicious, though. Congratulations on BOTD.

'Official Review: House of Giral' by Mark Laurence Latowsky has an intriguing introduction. It is a critical and useful analysis of the author's work. This is a dark and strong mystery that readers would be eager to unravel. Good guys chase the bad guys in the story. The character development in the story is powerful. Also, this is a long thriller story!

The plot is intriguing. But I'm not a fan of its dark and morbid tone. I appreciate the sensitive content warnings. And the plot ends in the middle of the story could be very disappointing. But I'm still curious with the 'controversial psychedelics treatment' by Dr. Young. Thank you for your well-written and insightful review.

Throughout the story, psychedelic treatment is of basic importance in revealing Jennifer's nightmares and hidden memories, allowing her to access a past life that affects her present.

Past life connection - is a very vague topic. The protagonist undergoes some psychological procedures. So, in my opinion either of the two should be correct. Either the story should have a spiritual angle or it should have science and facts explaining her dreams which were presumed to be connections of her past life.

Mental health is a very sensitive subjective tackle in a book and yet very timely and relevant today so I’m looking forward digging into this one to know how Jennifer’s life will change upon encountering Albert Young who runs a unique program to treat mentally unwell patients.

Thank you for your review. I sampled the book and found it to be quite intriguing. Dr Young is a mysterious character. I was glad that Jo's fiancé is a lawyer. The story sounds interesting.

Thank you for your insightful review on"House of Giral" by Mark Laurence Latowsky. The character development was powerful and scenes were created in a way that it was easy to imagine the characters playing out their roles. But then the mystery is solved halfway through and what is left is a filler more or less. That kind of distracts me from reading what started out like an interesting thriller to passing on it. Still, congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Awesome review. The book gives the type of mystery I love and look for in books. I like suspense so don't give me the answers I want or give me piece by piece but hold out on the biggest pieces until the very end. That's how I like my books. I'd most definitely give this a read.

It seems that by incorporating psychedelics and mental health into a gripping story, the book raises awareness of these topics. It looks ideal for readers who enjoy psychological and medical thrillers.
