You are correct about the conception of the author being a strong-minded individual who does not mince words, say what she pleases and writes whats in the heart. There were a lot of the poems that pulled me into the essence of the author and the need to communicate her thoughts. Sometimes, stepping outside the box, or our comfort zone can lead to some pretty good surprises. This was one of those times. After reading the book and then your review, I have found a greater appreciation for the author and her words.
