Which plot segment raised your adrenaline?

Personally, the part that Larry's leg and arm were amputated got me tensed owing to the fact that his life was at stake. Being in the middle of the sea, no medical supplies available, and Larry's blood level was low.
Which part of the story raised your adrenaline?

It was the same for me. The way his injury was described with the arm and leg getting cut off disturbed me. I had to take a few minutes to calm down and even then the struggles they faced to the point Travis finds his leg and throws it in the water had me tensed.

That part only. They were in the middle of the sea, Larry was heavily injured, and all they could do was comfort him to his death. It wasn't just adrenaline-pumping, it was deeply saddening as well.

For me, it was the part where the engine's ship caught on fire. It somewhat reminded me of Titanic and I thought I was going to have to watch another heartbreaking end of someone's life.

For me it was the part when the Warhorse crew were trying to board and get a line on the Express. I got tense when Larry's leg and arm got amputated as well.

It was the same for me as well and what happened to Larry in the end.

I loved the book adrift. I gave the book 4 out of 4 stars. This book taught me about tug boats, and pirates. Adrift will live in my heart years after I closed the last page.

Several plot segments in the book got my adrenalin almost gushing out. Just picturing people I cared about having to get in an "endless" raging sea with a tiny boat, was so scary. Amputating Larry's hands and legs was another major scene.
