Interestingly, just even taking a glance and reading this short summary I am am surely certain that Delvin had nothing to do with Borlock’s death.

The works of magic and death are always ones that bring out a lot of confusion and mystery to the mix. I'd be more than excited to see what truly happened to the one the main character looks up to most

An adventurous fantasy story book "The Magician's Secret" by Charles Townsend, which follows Magician Borlock and his student Delvin. This story appears engaging to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I really enjoyed the sample I read! Two things I love: murder mysteries and magic! This is one I would be interested in reading fully, nothing like beginning a story with a murder to grab your attention! Congratulations on BOTD!

Delvin is such an agile character. The tales of might and magic appeal to me so I believe I'll indulge in this book. Your review is definitely intriguing and your style of writing admirable. Thanks for the recommendation.

I love when books captures readers' attention from the start. The mix of magic and mystery seems like a great backdrop for a story. Great review.

I am not into science fiction stories usually but reading the sample first and now your review makes me think I would really enjoy the novel. I am almost sure Delvin has nothing to do with his friend's death and convinced that the actual murderer will take the readers by surprise.

This is a lovely book to read, and I won't mind reading it over again. Delvin quickly gained recognition in the new city he found himself in because of the magic tricks that Borlock thought him.  Princess Jarla is one character I admire in this book because of her toughness and her quickness in making the right decisions. Congratulations on BOTD!

I read this book a little while ago and wasn't a huge fan of the writing. I also found many errors which sound like have been fixed. I think I would've enjoyed my time reading Delvin's story much more had the writing felt a bit more mature. I agree with you that Townsend should've described more physical appearances. Great review!

Great review and congrats to the author on BOTD! This looks like an interesting book about a magician - I read the sample online and was immediately pulled into the potential murder scene...
