Rescue Me sounds like a compelling and important biography that sheds light on the challenges faced by athletes, particularly in the context of sexual abuse and its impact on their careers and personal lives. Annabelle Cripps' story highlights the devastating effects of abuse, not only on her athletic potential but also on her mental and emotional well-being.

In sharing her personal struggles, Katherine Starr has given a voice to countless other athletes who have suffered in silence. This book is a testament to the human spirit and the transformative power of turning pain into purpose. A truly remarkable and important work.

Rescue Me is a heartbreaking yet ultimately uplifting chronicle of one woman's journey to overcome the trauma of abuse and realize her athletic potential. Starr's vulnerability and resilience make this an inspiring read for athletes and non-athletes alike.

I love biographies with great messages within. Finding purpose after hardships is one of the most difficult things to do, so kudos to the author for writing such an inspiring book! I love that there are psychological analysis, thanks for highlighting that! Great review!

"Rescue Me" by Katherine Starr. An interesting book, talks about the life of Annabelle Cripps. Annabelle, a great athlete who had great potentials and talent, but her dreams never came to realization. Why? Because she was a victim of sexual abuse by a coach. This made her life miserable coupled with excessive drinking. At a time in Katherine's life, she recovered and she gave voice to other athletes who could be suffering or had suffered same as she. Congrats on your #BOTD.

We all have moments when we need help. We are social animals, and we forget that. We need that hand to pull us from our own misery. I am glad the author wrote this book. Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

I love how the author was able to bounce back from the tragedy she faced in her career, and how finally she can speak up about it. A lot of abusr victims are unable to come out and talk about it because they fear retributionfrom their abusers. I applaud the author for their courage in talking about this. I am sure a lot of people are going to be helped by this biography.

There have been so many instances worldwide where young professionals get abused by the people in power. It's disheartening. Through books like these, it is important to make this voice reach to millions of other people and tell this story. It deserves to be heard and acknowledged.

This book is truly an inspiration for athletes. It goes on to show the hardship of abuse she faced and how she overcame it. The fact is didn't let that assault decide her life and got back to do doing what she loved was incredible. It showed how much of an incredible and remarkable woman she is.
