She is fabulous, one of my favorites. Make sure to read The Hollows in order or they won't make much sense. She's starting a new series: The Peri Reed Chronicles, this week.NCH wrote:Nora Roberts is a favorite romance author of mine. I do have to say though that I prefer her triligies, specifically the ones that have a supernatural theme to them. I have recently read the Deborah Harkness trilogy and really enjoyed that as well. I don't know if these would be considered romance, but they had the romance angle in them as well as the supernatural theme. Has anyone read Kim Harrison? I recently had her recommended to me and was wondering if her books were any good...

I love Robyn Carr as well! I haven't read Thunder Point yet so that is next in my to-read list. I love Kristen Ashley too.HollyH wrote:I have been reading romance novels for decades. I tend to like the ones with more substance in them, though occasionally I go for chick lit. One of my favorite authors is Robyn Carr. Her Virgin River series is excellent! There are about 16 books in the series and I read all of them for the 2nd time a couple of years ago. You feel like you live in the town and fall of the characters are your friends. It's the type of series you can read over and over.
Here newest series, Thunder Point, is excellent as well. I'm always sad when I finish one of her books!

What I like most about some of these authors, they have straddled the line between genres without losing the interest of their fans.
