I really enjoyed reading your review, It made me curious to read the book complete. love the way you describe the essence of the book with total sincerity, the only autobiographical thing I have read is Anne Frank’s diary, and I hope that I will soon be able to read this one.

Neil Henry's poignant family history, I Have Calluses on My Hands: The Life and Times of Harold Henry, was written with love. Neil's forefathers' life are candidly and thoroughly described in this book that follows their history. It receives five stars for being well-edited and sincere.

I enjoyed reading your review. I like the way the authors discussed their ancestry. An autobiography for the upcoming generation to learn about their ancestors and how much the world has changed over time. Sounds like a nice personal achievement to have a record of family history. Thank you for sharing a nice and thoughtful review.

Hard work is displayed by calluses. He was fortunate to work with his father & gain the experience he has.

The author's idea of recollecting childhood memories and tracing the family's history through his father, Harold Henry, seems brilliant.

Neil Henry collaborated with his father, Harold Henry, to write the book "I Have Calluses on My Hands." The book reflects Neil's passion for preserving family history and serves as an informative family journal, tracing the history of the family back to their great-grandparents. I love the book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting memoir of the author's life as well as an ancestral record of the author's family in order to preserve his story for his descendants. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

*Calluses on My Hands* is a compelling memoir that delves into the life of a skilled artisan whose hands have borne the marks of years of hard work. The book vividly describes the physical and emotional journey of labor, exploring themes of resilience, craftsmanship, and personal growth. The author's reflections on the calluses—both literal and metaphorical—serve as a powerful metaphor for the challenges and triumphs experienced through dedication and perseverance. This introspective and inspiring read is a testament to the strength found in hard work and the beauty of well-earned scars.

I really enjoyed reading your review. The way you described this book makes it sound like a family heirloom. The fact that it was written by a father and son makes it even more special. It's the kind of book that could become a cherished keepsake for generations to come. Writing a book with your son must be a dream come true for a father. Nowadays, kids aren't as interested in the past, so a book like this is really valuable. I wish my father had written a book like this before he passed. The book sounds like an interesting, easy, and quick read. I've added it to my to-read list.

Neil Henry's "I Have Calluses on My Hands," a poignant memoir that reflects on the personal and professional challenges of an African American journalist navigating the difficult terrain of racial identity Through vivid storytelling, Henry blends his experience as a journalist with the broader historical context of race relations in America. The book is not just an insight into her career but takes a deep dive into the emotional and psychological toll of experiencing systemic racism both personally and professionally. Henry’s story is honest and conscientious, allowing readers to clearly confront the strength needed to succeed in an often unforgiving career. His reflections are thought-provoking, shed light on the persistence of racial inequality, and emphasize the importance of tolerance and self-awareness This memoir is a fascinating read for anyone who he's interested in media, ethnicity, and personal development mediation.
