Favorite Fairy Tale?

What would you say is your favorite fairy tale? What makes this fairy tale so special?

I would say that I hold Beauty and the Beast (the Disney version, lol) pretty close to my heart. This was the first time that the girl in the story seemed more developed, loved books, and her single goal wasn't marrying the guy she saw for five seconds. Does it have its faults (yep!), but I still like this fairy tale the best.

My favorite fairy tale is the original Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. The book have a theme of dying for love, sacrificing for love. It was such a hauntingly tragic yet beautiful story.

My favorite fairy tale is The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen. It has a good message that is helpful and impactful to anyone who reads it, whether child or adult. For a short story whose intended audience is children, it really makes a reader think about their actions or other peoples' actions toward them.

My favourite is beauty and the beast. Belle was a very admirable heroine. She saved the prince she didn't wait for him to save her, besides she was courageous bold and smart all admirable qualities in a heroine.

Beauty and the Beast is a French fairy tale with all of the ingredients for a rich captivating story. Self sacrifice and redemption is the heart of this tale. I love that Belle looks beyond the physical appearance of those she encounters and into the inner soul of the person. Love truly transcends time, space, and magic.

That's an interesting take on The Little Mermaid. I've never thought about it that way. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, The Ugly Duckling does have a helpful and impactful message.

I agree, Belle was courageous, bold, smart, and a great heroine. This fairy tale is also my favorite!
