Karin Slaughter - spoilers for anything before Criminal

I've just started reading Karin Slaughter's latest book, Criminal and I was wondering if anyone else followed her series? I started about ten years ago and just fell in love with the characters.
Then I really enjoyed her second series with Will and Faith and I was wondering how people felt about the way she has merged the two series?
I love Will so much and I love Sara but I'm not sure how I feel about the two of them together?
