"Idiom Attack" is a perfect book for Chinese‐speaking people, who wants to improve their knowledge of English language. It is suitable for learners starting from the intermediate level. This book can be useful for people of different professions and age who want to move or study in Northern America or have to communicate with people from there, because it has idioms on various topics from all spheres of life. The book is divided on 25 lessons, which consists one topic such as "visiting friends", "relaxing", "making conversation", "housework", "social invitations" etc. In the beginning of the book you can find instruction how to use this book. Everything, including preface, is written both in English and Chinese languages, that is essential for beginning learners of English language. Each lesson includes a list of idioms with explanation and examples, also both in English and Chinese, on the topic, which is written in the name of the lesson. Also you can find an exercise on new‐learned idioms (with keys at the end of the exercise, so that reader can check himself) and a sample text which includes this idioms with questions to it, in order that language‐learner could better understand how to use this idioms in practice. The book includes both widespread literature language idioms such as "get ready", "at once" and more rare ones conversational such as "fender bender", "cat got your tongue". In the end of the book you can find "Index" where all the idioms, used in book, are put in alphabetical order with a number of page with their meaning. So if you have forgotten what means any idiom, you can quickly find it.
