The release date for this book is September 7th, but there's an excerpt in the new Essence magazine. Terry McMillian is one of my favorites...stream of consciousness narrative and characters the reader can completely identify with.
" The writer must write what he has to say, not speak it."

I didn't know she had another book due out soon! That's exciting! I loved How Stella Got her Groove Back (better book then the movie, but isn't that how it usually goes?). I actually wrote about her for a high school thesis paper about 13 years ago. I think that book will go on my reading list. Thanks for the head's up!
