A club filled with elite socialists, common man, and the LGBTQ community, shows a darker side to humanity. The Dark Web Murders by Brian O'Hare follows Chief Inspector Sheehan and his team as they embark on a twisted, yet ghastly hunt to find a serial killer known as Nemein. Nemein uses the Dark Web to share blog posts about his killings with numerous followers, where he posts mysterious puzzles and poems for the Chief to solve. With Sheehan getting closer and closer to solving the case, and unexpected turn leaves him wondering maybe he has got to close to the case, which the ones closest to him, might be in danger.

This book was very enticing from the beginning of the Prologue. At first, it appears that the young man is the serial killer, or he is connected to the serial killer because he is in prison. However, delving further into the story, surprising events leads the reader questioning McNeil, Stevens, Stewart, and Greenwald, who are a part of Chief Inspector Sheehan's team. It is clear that the serial killer has a keen interest in the Chief, but for what reasons appears unknown, which is what kept the story enticing. Brian O'Hare delivers a masterpiece with this book, and he uses perfect grammar.

The only flaws were that some words seemed misspelled due to The Dark Web Murders written in British English. For example, the author uses "Personnae," which, when searched in a dictionary, is spelled "Personae" (Intro: p. 6). Thus, it was hard to understand at times the writing because of the differences in spelling of many words. The book also contains lots of mild and strong curse words, but most of those curse words are spelt with asterisks. Also, there are descriptions of murders, and other inappropriate content that would not be suitable for younger readers or readers who have experienced or encountered some form of these events, which may trigger negative emotions.

The Dark Web Murders by Brain O'Hare is a book worth reading for those who love mysteries and solving crime. O'Hare allows the readers to see the crime play out from an objective point of view, which the reader will feel like they are solving the case for Sheehan. This book has earned a 4 out of 4 stars, and it is a recommended read to those who enjoy a good mystery and want to understand the mind of a serial killer.
