[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Dream Walkin'" by Colleen McLain.]

Colleen McLain delivers a page turning mystery, suspense, and romance rolled into one with her book Dream Walkin'. Set in a rugged Minnesota small town, the last stop before open wilderness and the Canadian Border. A town where everybody knows everybody and their business, except for Kelly Callahan and Sheriff Adams it appears. Kelly a recent transplant and owner of the local bar "The Dew Drop Inn" and the Sheriff, a generally private man, are both rumor inducing puzzles for the locals.

Join Kelly Callahan in her quant bar as she deals with men, life, and surviving hell. Having only moved to Callahan Falls, no relation, a few years prior after dropping everything in her old life, she is settling well into her new home. Well almost, there seems to be rountine arguments with the Sheriff. Hoping that their mutual pushing of buttons is her only problem and none of the nightmares from her past make an appearance. This spirited woman unintentionally charms every man that graces her bar. Her charms work a little to well putting her in more danger than she realizes.

Unfortunately, her past won't stay there with some new campers passing through and an injured bear; Kelly's safe haven isn't so safe. Her world turns upside down as she attempts to figure out her budding relationship and connect the dots on a few to many well time coincidences and deaths. In the mean time male jealousy and the local rumor mill might drive her crazy or to drinking.

Colleen McLain realistically brought to life the struggle of moving on after unspeakable tragedies; and built a thrilling mystery complete with murders and unexpected bad guys. Also tastefully dropping humor and old school charm into the mix that will bring a grin to your face. A parade of wonderfully written characters ranging from a hot tempered woman to a kind hearted giant of a man round out this book with plenty of intrigue and endearment.

I am giving Dream Walkin' by Colleen McLain a 4 out of 4 stars. It is an overall fantastic read, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone over 18, due to some graphic imagery and touchy subjects, that enjoys a bit of mystery and romance.
