Unfaltering Trust by Roy Zeigler focuses on the lives of three sons of Edward Fitz Randolph Jr. and Elizabeth Blossom. The lives of Benjamin Fitz Randolph, Joseph Fitz Randolph, Nathaniel Fitz Randolph, their descendants, and their impact on the development of the United States of America from colonial times to the 21st century are explored in this historical novel.

The story begins with the arrival of Edward Fitz Randolph Jr. in America following religious persecution in England. Edward and his wife, Elizabeth Blossom, play a key role in the formation of the founding families of New Jersey. Edward's grandson, Hartshorne Fitz Randolph, formed one of the first anti-slavery societies in New Jersey. His great-grandson, Nathaniel Fitz Randolph, was instrumental in the formation of Princeton University. Another great-grandson, Benjamin Fitz Randolph, built a desk upon which Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence.

Edward and Richard Randolph Parry pioneered banking and land brokerage businesses in Minnesota. Evan Randolph Jr. was the president of the Philadelphia National Bank. Since the arrival of Edward Fitz Randolph Jr. in America, his descendants have included decorated war heroes, industrialists, noted physicians, bankers, lawyers, artisans, and four presidents of America (Gerald R. Ford, H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama).

This book is a gem for history buffs. The amount of research and work that must have gone into it boggles my mind. Zeigler not only notes each of the nine generations of the Fitz Randolph family in great detail but also manages to spin a narrative that is enjoyable to read. The author showcases the impact of the members of the Fitz Randolph family at various stages of American history, from the arrival of pilgrims to the 21st century.

What impressed me most was the religious and cultural impact of the Fitz Randolph family in the making of modern America. It also helped that Zeigler wrote the lives of the family members in such rich colors.

I will give this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is very informative and well-written. The pacing of the narrative is smooth, and it makes for an enjoyable read. Despite being a non-fictional historical novel, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Anyone interested in American history should read this. Even people not interested in the usual history books may end up enjoying this.

This book has gone through a professional edit. I found no grammatical errors. There are no explicit scenes or profanity. It's suitable for people of all ages.

I've read the sample, and see that this is a well-made book. The author included the photos for illustration and analyzed the names carefully. It's not easy to follow the footsteps of 9 generations, so I've got to say he really put a lot of his mind in this.

Books that are well researched and informative always tickle my fancy. I found myself "Googling" this infamous family because they have contributed a lot to the America we see today. This book is surely going on my "To Read" shelf.

Fitz Randolph is a name I have never heard of; yet the author claims he changed America into what it is today. Intriguing! I will give this one a critical read in time. Thanks for an insightful review!

I have not heard about the history of this family before and the significant contributions they’ve made. It must have took a lot of work and excessive research to be able to create a book like this. Thanks for a very detailed and insightful review.
