How To Beat The Dream Steelers, by David Mendenhall is a short book that uses simple and appropriate language, the reading is dynamic and with a constant rhythm. I rate this book four out of four stars for the excellent editing work, the care of its writing work and the theme chosen for the book.

Its main theme is self-improvement and the reinforcement of values and principles as the basis of life. He declares from the beginning that the characters are fictional but with them he narrates aspects of a reality that affects us all, whether we realize it or not. Through the experiences of these same protagonists, it makes us accomplices of a journey, not only towards ourselves, but also the success we want in the aspects of our lives and describes very well many of the events and people that influence and constitute so many obstacle as tools to achieve it.

The book does not contain profanity, no sexual content, it does not contain grammatical, typographical or spelling errors. It appears to be professionally edited. The ideas presented are clear and precise which allow us to understand the argument of the book without problems. The type of narrative chosen by the author makes all the messages presented reach even the most demanding reader. It captures attention from the beginning and keeps the reader focused on the story and its elements despite knowing from the opening pages that the main theme will not bring surprises or suspense. Extensively uses quotes from different characters and writers and from different times, relies on resources well known to any reader such as references to movies, books by successful authors and with publications on the subject, banking, sports and mentions of real places which helps to create connections with the reader. To all this he gives a very successful use according to the subject of the chapter to be discussed. Also to support the content of the book, it uses graphics, diagrams and links to articles of interest closely related to the topic of each chapter.

I really liked that it managed to directly involve the reader through individual questions of a personal nature related to the topic and the explanations given in each chapter; their answers are always for the benefit of the reader himself, inviting him to put what he has read into practice. It enhances personal values such as discipline, persistence, companionship, hard work, punctuality, will, patience, self-knowledge and enthusiasm. All these elements contribute and guarantee the main objective of the reading: to promote personal development and to have tools to achieve the achievements of life goals. The book is an exceptional read and is excellently edited so it is impossible not to enjoy it, for this reason there is no element that I did not like.

Taking into account the theme, which may have detractors, I recommend the book itself as a light reading, although a supportive one for daily life situations. Enriched with all the external resources that the author uses, he manages to analyze each aspect and expose it in a pleasant way without losing precision. I recommend this book for all audiences.
