Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is a fantasy novel that tells a story where good and evil unite. Even if one is from Heaven and the other from Hell when a true connection between the souls exists nothing seems to keep them apart. Soulmates are inseparable and meant to be together.

The story begins with a fireman Poe's life. His work is kept in high regard but with the family, things are rather the opposite. Like there wasn't enough to worry about, a man comes to the town and, to Poe's dismay, seems to want something from him. This stranger named Crighton is persistent on his evil mission on Earth and as usual, he gets what he came from Hell for. It's not an option for Crighton to disappoint the leading demon, Lucifer. After a while, there comes a next mission Lucifer sets him out on which doesn't exactly go according to the plan but leads to his and, the angel he was after, capture by scientists. No matter that these supernatural beings despise each other, something extraordinary that cannot be dismissed is happening between Crighton and the angel, Ariel.

This is the best book I have read in a while. It is all in all well written in great language. The text is detailed and the characters are well created. The whole story is so complex and gripping with many personality traits and differences between the characters. I think that there was a nice balance between the good and evil so that the story wasn't too much of the one. There are some sexual scenes here and there but they are not that long. Also, goriness is part of this book as some scenes may be quite harsh to some people.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. There was nothing in the book that I didn't like. The story flowed forward and the characters were exceptional. In my opinion, the book had the perfect length to tell this story the best way possible. Soul Seeker captivated and amazed me with its contents. I noticed only a few errors in the text that didn't bother or cause distraction and it still seemed to be professionally edited.

Soul Seeker has demons and angels in the spotlight, so I would recommend this novel to people who like reading fantasy. This story is probably most appealing to young adults and those who are interested in the supernatural.
