Heat: by H.M. Irwing is a second book of the Bad Boy Vibes series. Granted I have had no knowledge of this series before reading this assignment and yet what portion I have read certainly has gained my interest to find the prequel book as well as following books in the series. It has a love story with the main characters that reflect their past relationships, heartaches, tragedies, and most importantly their steamy and passionate relationship. The author makes it very clear how the characters accept, love, and support one another for their shortcomings however finding out what the shortcomings were was tedious and it made the read seem repetitive and tedious. The rating I'd like to give is still 3 out of 4 simply because them main storyline was good and the erotic storytelling was good.

The audience that I would suggest this to would certainly be males and females 18+ due to the graphic sex descriptions, from both male and females. Another recommendation for older reading group is the use of profanity throughout the story. The author clearly does not discriminate gender roles, nor sexual orientations so the target audience ought to be optimistic while reading whether they agree or disagree with the characters preferences. A downside is that some of the supporting characters are built up with back story including sexual scenes but then the reader is “left on read” to switch to another supporting character build without any closure as to what happens to them or where do they end up.

On a positive note, only one typo was found and at that it wasn’t so much a misspelling as it was the wrong name inserted, almost as if the writer forgot which character they were talking about. But again, it only happened once which was rather impressive due to the many diverse characters and character builds.
