Snow Report

Post by Loveabull »

Some of us have been bombed with the white stuff and some of us don't have any. Can you visualize what maybe a foot and a half PLUS on top of your car looks like???!!! It reminds me sorta of a Cat in the Hat book. There is a pink cat ring that transfers to everything it touches including snow. The problem besides ice is just volume...where do you go with it? You dig out the car then you have to clear around it and you have six to eight foot piles all around you...it's insane. And what is it like where YOU are???

That's an amazing amount of the white stuff - I've never seen more that a couple of centimeters - but then we close down the country if there is just a slight powdering.
We've been busy with wind storms & buckets of rain, rain, and more rain .. so NO we don't want any of the white stuff.

Where I am there is no snow.

Of course it is the middle of summer now :D

However there is never any snow here, not even a single tiny flake.

At present we have been battling bush fires, here is photo of one near me, last front finally contained, destroyed 30,000 hectares of grazing land and had a perimeter of 195 km.

Where I live, we had a lot of snow a couple of weeks ago and our town actually was pretty much closed down because they're not used to snow at all! I mean, the base was shut down for a whole week (no one in and no one out); it was crazy!

Now I'm visiting family, and they've got a good few inches! We were supposed to get 2-4" more inches, but I'm unsure of when that'll happen. I'm from Michigan, so the snow isn't really a big surprise for me; I do have to say I have missed the snow since where I currently reside doesn't typically get snow!

I can't put pictures on here with my phone but if I could it would be of a drop hole where my cat plunged into the snow and all you can see is her tail sticking up out of the snow.

We've had a lot of snow here this last month and we're suppose to get much more.
It was so cold here a few weeks ago that they gave the mailman like three days off. My uncle (mailman) was thrilled for the four day weekend. I don't know if that's normal for other places or not but its certainly not normal here.
Glad my uncle didn't have to suffer frost bite trudging through the snow though.
