In the second book of the Voulhire series, We are voulhire- the future of virko by Matthew Tysz, we see the changing political and religious view of Virko. Virko is a city that has long shown its back on religion. The city relies rather proudly on its nobles and its businessmen.

Lord Venden single-handedly built Virko as the greatest economic power in Voulhire. But now, his failing health directs Virko's future in his son Hans's hand. His character is shown mysteriously in the initial chapters but, as the story progresses, we get to know him more.

Galen Bray, along with Rowan and Demetrius in search of the mysterious rock, ends up in some unknown adventurous events. Meldorath took a relatively small part in this book. His real intention is unknown. But we see that he is slowly moving towards something dangerous.

You may find several hundred books in the same genre. But what makes We are Voulhire- The future of virko different is its plot and people. To keep readers stick to something unrealistic is not easy. But, the author had done it so effortlessly. For me, the world of Voulhire felt actual, its people real, and their ability natural. Magic is something used excessively in fantasy books, but, here magic is used differently. The method used by Meldorath in spreading viruses felt like modern nanorobots in the bloodstream. It was a refreshing idea.

The author's style of writing was commendable. He added mystery, fun, and darkness to the plot with ease.  The humor element which was absent in the prequel makes this book even more interesting. The humor added in Rowan's character was on point.

Same as in the first book, the author uses multiple storytelling methods. The plot moves quickly and, the introduction of new characters was carefully done. I liked the way Galen's life is slowly woven into the main plot. I liked Galen more in this book than in the previous one. This was my favorite part of the book. There was nothing I don't appreciate in this book. I enjoyed reading it thoroughly. That's why I would give it a 4 out of 4 stars

This book is professionally edited. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy reading fantasy and magic. I would also stress that one should read the prequel of this book. Without that, one would be at sea. This book definitely has all the recipes for making the next one more interesting.
