The Hundreth Time Around by Stacy Lee is such a captivating book. It takes place in Maine and is a love story that involves a writer and a lawyer who fall in love on a beach in college. But things end abruptly when life takes them separate ways. When they are reunited, it is because of an old promise that must be kept. And then, just when they think everything is going to go back to normal, they are thrown a curve ball. They have to face the truth about the past, and accept it so that they can move on. What will happen? That is for you to find out.

There are many things I really like about this book. One is that, to me, it didn’t just feel like a romance novel, it also felt like a mystery book. You could never tell what was going to happen next. Another thing is how the author tells it from different points of view, and also gives us a backstory about the past, that gives us hints about what is going to happen next. The author is always keeping us guessing but also gives us little hints, too. The other thing I liked was the way she wrote it. There were a lot of descriptive words that really helped us imagine the story as if we were there.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like about this book. Although, there was one thing I did not like, but I don’t know if I should say it for the sake of spoiling the book. But otherwise, it was an amazing book, a captivating masterpiece by Stacy Lee

I am definitely rating this book a 4 out of 4 stars. I did not rate it anything below a four because It was edited very well, there were great characters, and a very unexpected plot line that made me angry, sad, and relieved at the same time. That’s how you know it was a good book. I love how Cassidy is such a strong and independent role model and Sean supports her greatly. I can always relate to Sean as a fellow writer, and to Cassidy as a student. I would recommend it.

My age recommendation for this book is at least a mature teen. It is a romance novel, so there is some romance. And there are some bad words/language. If you are a romance novel lover, I promise it is worth it. And if you loved this one, make sure to read the rest of the series. Thank you to Online Book Club for letting me review this book, and thank you to all of you for reading my review. Hope you enjoy!
