The Ultimate Love by Sherine Anniruth is a non-fiction book, more like a memoir to her late son Nadeem, who had passed away due to an illness, 4 years ago. The author, who is the mother of Nadeem, grieves her son's untimely death and at the same time, boosts positiveness among others in her family and she believes that her son is forever present in Heaven and is looking at her, and leaves her signs like a feather or a heart shaped petal (which is unusual in a common flower).

The book explains how one's sorrow is different from others. Grieving, going into depression, coping with the loss of a loved one varies from person to person and this concept is explained clearly in this book. This book also contains general guidances and tips on how one can cope with a loss of his/her/their loved one, and also helps in dismissing thoughts of feeling low and bad when grieving for a loss.

The book has many positive notes in it, starting with how the author is reminiscing her son's memories by talking with her family members and laughing and feeling happy, remembering Nadeem's days on earth. The book also acts as a guide on how to cope with loss, it gives a detailed description on what is grief and stages of grieving. This book also deals with personal healing and dealing with pain. All these help people who have lost their near and dear ones. Implementing some of the things, which can be done even by a non-believer, will help in finding mental peace and cope with the the tragic loss a person has faced. The author has narrated her own experience, her way of dealing with the grief and loss of her son, which gives us an example to learn from.

The religious references made such as Heaven and afterlife may not be taken well by non-believers and athiests and is the only thing which keeps the book a step back from perfection. Other than that, the book is explicitly edited without any errors and does not have any negative point in it.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars and would like to add that the spritual contexts mentioned in the book is very useful. The letter penned from the Author to her late son is emotional. Overall it is recommended to everyone, especially to people who are in a sense of doubt on how to deal with grief or how to empathize with people who are suffering and grieving.
