The Fox by M.N.J. Butler is a compilation of historical occurrence that shades light on the lives of great people of the Old Sparta and Greek in general. The book is written base on the life of one of the citizen of that great Nation whose rise in life faced many challenges due to the nature of his birth and yet not withstanding became a great name worth emulating both in his nation and beyond yet his end showed how he fell from grace having those great achievements of his discarded due to his lateness in making the decision which would have made him a name among the Kings that ever ruled his People. The Fox by M.N.J Butler reveals once more the might and brilliance of the Spartan army and the people as read in history, betrayal among friends and relatives, effect of wrong decisions by leaders, patriotism in a great soldiers that can sacrifice all for his nation, and many more that will make the reader hang on to every page with thirst for more.

the positive thing about this book is that it provide the readers with that euphoria that is associated with been alive in the past as every page of the book roll-out, giving the feeling that reader is present with the author in every details portrayed in the book. The book provides the reader with the culture, customs, belief and norms of the Spartan thereby making the readers familiar with the otherwise unknown way of life of these great people. The detail of the author is picturesque.

If there is anything negative about the book it will not be from the author but history, the end of that Man should have been better than that.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars the editing, details and composure is just perfect.

The Fox by M.N.J Butler is recommended for all those who love history, politics and leadership. I will recommend this book both the old and young that love adventure and that has always been driven with desire to have a glimpse of life in the Historical Sparta.
