A place where pure and ill intent, crime, justice, morality and greed meet, which one will eventually win?

In a crime infested neighborhood, all aforementioned coexist, leaving a very thin line as a distinction.
A very popular, high life loving detective finally nabs a very troublesome local criminal and his friends in an unconventional way, following pressure from his equally shady friends, but will the ends justify the means?

What is interesting about Stolen Redemption by R.B. Alonso is his storyline. With a lot of wordplay, the author engages the reader’s mind into a web of mystery and harsh realities brought about by the world of crime. For example, Alonso sheds light into how the justice system staff are detrimental to how the system is supposed to work.

The timelines of events in the book, however, left me frustrated for the most part as they are not clearly stated nor easy to follow up. The author mainly leaves it up to the reader to speculate when and how far apart events in the book took place. Another thing I didn’t like about this book is how Alonso has a tendency to glide through events without giving much needed details, it almost reads like a summary of what actually transpired.

Stolen Redemption by R.B. Alonso therefore gets a rating of 2 out of 4. The storyline kept me entertained enough to overlook the poorly articulated timeline and events.

The vivid description of crime, violence and the use of strong language, limits this book to a mature audience. It is also recommended for lovers of crime mysteries.
