Review of Speedy hurled through havoc
David's love for nature (especially animals), as well as his desire for adventure is marvelled in this book. But also his deep scars from the past that he carried with him all his life. He tried to run from it and eventually figured it out...this was not his fault. And yes he is too part of this incredible universe.
In "Speedy hurled through havoc" the author was successful in sharing his inner heartache and search for his dad's approval in his young- and later adult life. His well maintained imagination and his fathers input with these observations, puts the reader in the middle of that situation. For anyone who loves the circus (especially the circus in this book), being there or has never had the chance to visit this spectacular event, David Letterfly Knoderer, has the ability to make this experience come alive. This book made me realise that many humans on this earth suffer from childhood scars - not mentioning whether they grew up with poverty of wealth, but emotional scars. The "bullies" and so called "adults" of this world willingly and sadistically treat others in a way they don't even can understand themselves. Without regret...This all boils down to one major fact: If one tries to live a life without God, and willingly avoid His presence, the result is a purposeless life - a life wasted.
Because of the abundance of information given in absolute detail, I lost interest in some of these chapters. Too much of repeated pain and search for inner peace. But I do understand the emotions behind this book. If this book had one purpose for writing and putting all this history on paper - David definitely succeeded with getting his own answers that he was searching for. He came to the realisation that his fathers attitude towards his family was his mistakes and had nothing to do with him, David. Billy was only human after all.
I rate his book 2 out of 4 stars. To me it was too much of information in every paragraph, although there are many valuable lessons and quotes. I just lost trail at times when the author went on an expedition of past emotions and repeated search for approval of his father.
Readers who enjoy a lot of detail (especially men in this case), will most probably find this book full of adventure. The experiences that Billy passed over to his son is in a field where men can relate to and might even reflect on their own childhood lives. Thoughts of heartache and misunderstanding are hidden in these chapters.

Thank you for your score on my review.
I am a bit embarrassed...I did not mean to be harsh.
In future I will take more time when writing a review using your advise. It means a lot to me that you came back on this.
Thanks again
Warm regards
