Review of How To Be Successful
The world is full of people who want to become successful. They do not actually know what lies along the right path or more so what it takes to get there. This book, How To Become Successful, Think Like A Leader by M. Curtis McCoy is an eye opener, a motivational and inspirational book. Though Curtis had suffered from brain cancer and Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus, type 1, he did not let the misfortune weigh him down but instead struggled on the path to success.
The twenty-seven chapter content is rich with interviews from those that have become successful such as Jeff Biggs Wobig, a US Navy SEAL sniper, Connie Wyatt, the CMO of Best Cellular and others. In this book, Curtis also mentions necessary guidelines needed to become successful, problems one can encounter on the path and so proffers solution to them not just from experience but from knowledge and wisdom gained over time. He did not leave out relationship with family nor friends but also talks about it in the course of reading this book. This book is on a priceless level and so I urge readers to read this motivational and inspirational book.
On a positive note, I learnt ways of building relationship with friends and family. The path to true success takes a long conscious and disciplined effort and there are no short corners. My appearance and the way I allow others treat me now and later on matters a lot. There are ways of improving my attitude like being thankful, being bold, being motivated and passionate and have a positive mental attitude. Practising delayed enjoyment matters but that does not mean I should not reward myself along the journey to success. Making friends, family members feel appreciated plays a huge impact on success rate. The positive aspect goes on and on and on. I bet that readers will find weak areas they need to improve on as I did.
I found few errors in the course of reading. It is sufficient to say that this book was professionally edited. The book lightly touches on the Christian faith but they are not disturbing. They simply help to express lucidly the writer's thought.
I heartily give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars as I found few errors. I recommend this book to those who want to become successful not only in their business or career but also in their relationship with family, friends and others. This book can also be recommended to those having suicidal tendencies.
