Review of Red Wave Imperative
The author, with his book, has proposed the idea to support Republicans, and he has given enough words for it. He blames the opposition for not letting the bills be passed. He accused Democrats of demoralizing the then president, Donald Trump, by futile words. He also blamed news channels and daily papers for supporting the opposition and regularly criticizing the ruling party, and attacking verbally to their family members.
Politics, in any country, is not clean as it was a century ago. At that time, almost everyone active in politics wanted to make their country better. Today only some of them desire to help the country to grow but the majority wants power and what that power can get them. Alan Schein has effectively presented the original picture behind the clean and shiny surface of politics. There is a part in the book where the author has uncovered the tactics of politicians to earn commission on the government contracts through increasing the amount on the contract. It showed how the so-called leaders in powerful positions use their power extravagantly for their own benefits.
I found the book quite biased and inclined to the Republican party of the USA. I do not think that any political party can be purely a well-wisher of people and the other is purely evil. It would have been better if the author had mentioned the good and bad sides of both the Republicans and the Democrats, and let the people decide what to do. Instead he has whole heartedly supported Republicans and alleged harshly to the Democrats. For me, it is less of a political analysis and like a political campaign for the Republicans. The sole purpose of this book is to brag about one party and its leaders, and condemn the other one. I assume it would not be wrong if I say this book showed us only one side of the story and kept the other covered.
I didn’t completely agree with the book, Red Wave Imperative, but I can definitely say that the author has done a job. He proposed his political thinking to the readers but not as theories, instead he supported his arguments with facts. For me, this book deserves 3 out of 4 stars. The book is well formatted and designed, but it contains some small errors.
Those who are interested in politics or related fields should read this book, they can compare the scenarios to other countries also. And Trump supporters must read this book, they will get various points to embrace him more because the author is very convincing with his words.
