This book Fear me now-The War Annex by Christophrer Williams is about Dubb Sacks,a young black man aged twenty-one in 1993 in Louisville,Kentucky. It charts his life from this time, his friends and associates, and also his mindset of this era when racial tension was rife and probably still is.The book describes how he strives to be the first member in his family to get an education at
Morehouse college while all his friends are working or living life in the slow lane.

Despite his efforts,he feels he has no support to make his dream happen,no support from his family,no support from his friends and no support from his girl-friend,and all to sudden in my view,it turns him from ok guy,to unhinged mental person who wants to rid the world of all white people. This sudden transition from part-time worker and college student to madman is what let's the book down. There seems to be a lack of continuity within the story line and so I have deducted a star for this reason giving a rating of two stars out of four. If there was more detail in the plot and more description how someone can change from sane to insane then three stars out of four stars might of been justfied but it wasn't to be. The theme in the book of killing only white people also seems to limit the story line so you get a focus of this and only this.

All his pressures and troubles he is experiencing add up to an overwhelming burden which he feels he is unable to cope with and his seeking help from religion only exacerbates his troubles and pressures when the minister offers a sermon denouncing the "white man" as "blacks undoing" and that "white man" as evil.

The sermon is the proverbial "last nail in the coffin" regarding any hopes of redemption for this deranged individual, and his actions spiral out of control with his mission to kill more and more white people, and become more and more horrific.

The narrative mostly repeats itself as you get into the book further of robbery and murder followed by other murders, without much inbetween events happening, which makes for a dull read. The editing of this book was gerally ok,but who would want to read this book I am not sure.
