Review of Winning the War on Cancer
[Following is a volunteer review of "Winning the War on Cancer" by Sylvie Beljanski.]
A story, a journey, walking in the footsteps of a daughter, of a family, of life, wellbeing, and the legacy of a person's life never fully appreciated. Winning the War on Cancer by Sylvie Beljanski is a brilliant documentary about the life of Mirko Beljanski, PhD, biologist-chemist, and his research in advancing the natural treatment of cancer and other diseases. The book touches on the research and true-life experiences of some medical entities in trying to help in the advancement of treating cancer patients and the reduction of the severity of this medical phenomenon. While sharing valuable medical information with some of the highest authorities running our governments, and finding that the truth does not always set us free, at first.
Winning the War on Cancer has so many wonderful aspects that I was captivated by the true-life experiences and memories shared by the author and the fact-driven information, accompanied by references throughout the book. The way the author shared her and her family’s experiences during the past few years, was very heroic in a sense. This book had my full attention with every paragraph and tickled my curiosity throughout the entire book. What also gave me more respect towards the author and her father, was the fact that they basically dedicated their lives to help integrate traditional medicine and a logical, holistic way of looking at health, diseases, and the treatment thereof. Not only do you learn some interesting facts about health and natural products, but you also get acquainted with some very interesting and well-educated names in science that need to be remembered going down in history as unsung heroes of the medical field.
For the book itself and the writing, I have no negative comments. The story was told brilliantly and the information was backed with references throughout the whole book, with time references as well. There were no foul words or spelling errors, so this was definitely one of my most invigorating “reads” as yet.
I’m giving this book a well-deserved 4 out of 4 stars. Not just for the bountiful, fact-driven information provided by the author, but also for the wonderful way the author opened up very personal information in her quest to try and get the truth out there. You connect with the author and her family’s journey throughout the book and the valuable information provided within the story.
I’d recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more, not just from a science, holistic or medical point of view, but also to anyone interested in walking in someone’s shoes that was willing to put their whole life on the line to help enhance the quality of life, of mankind.
This book is for someone who would like to take action and stand up for what’s right and good in mankind. There is truly no age, race, or ethnic group I would not recommend this book to.
