Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
I write this review about Matthew Tysz's We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies.
It is a well-written novel that will have most readers glued to their seats. It is a great book that has truly caught my curiosity. In fact, it has set me up to go and read every single book in the series. I eventually decided to give this masterpiece 4 out of 4 stars for these reasons. The book is fantastic. It was well-written and exceptionally well-edited.
Galen Bray grew up in the Land of the Princes. The Land of the Prince is a rough place to be. It is a tough terrain if there is ever one. The land is war-stricken. So, as we can assume, Galen did not have a great childhood. However, fortune turned to his favor when his late uncle died and willed his property to Galen. This includes a pretty large forgery workshop. This is what led Galen to Voulhire. A kingdom that is by far more prosperous than his former home. This book also includes several other characters in the plot. Characters such as Lord Meldorath, Lord Eldus, and others were included in the book.
Would you like to know how these characters influence the story? Would you like to know what the future of young Galen holds? If you do, then go on and read this book. It will definitely be worth your time.
This work attracts attention because of the author’s method of writing. His ability to narrate experiences and describe circumstances is reasonably great. I feel it is one of the finest fantasy books out there. The drawbacks I discovered in the book were the obscenities and the way the text sometimes got incomprehensible due to the author's approach to writing. I also detected the lack of a significant female protagonist.
I like the way the author wrote the book from the individual perspective of the characters. Basically, he allowed each character to tell their own story. This is a beautiful way to write a novel. It is unique and captivating. This is a book that can be read to completion in a single sitting. I know that because that is what I did. Another thing that made his book intriguing for me was the vivid description of the fight scenes. In my opinion, that is the way to go when you write a book like this.
I recommend this novel to fantasy and fiction enthusiasts. I also suggest it to folks who appreciate stories that detail battle scenes. If you enjoy action movies, then you’d probably adore this book. Warning parents, this book is not for kids.
