Review of Marijuana Martinis
The book Marijuana Martinis by Liv Hamrick covers a brief history of Weed, ancient hemp, modern hemp, the benefits of a blunt, and the many uses of marijuana and its risks. Liv Hamrick had it all: a husband, a family, and a tumor on her spine; she's the author and the person who experienced the healing power of marijuana firsthand; she had three surgeries and was prescribed ineffective medications until she started using medicinal marijuana; with little knowledge of the plant, she becomes more involved in the cannabis community. Cannabis. Marijuana. Hashish. Dope. Pot. Weed. Six words, all of which pertain to the cannabis plant. There have been numerous studies and concerns about marijuana use because it can be addictive and a gateway drug; this is why marijuana is always under the shadow of a taboo nature; however, with adequate knowledge and awareness, marijuana could become a divine intervention from the hundred pills and prescriptions you are taking. Hamrick believes this book to be for women of all ages as its therapeutic application may lead to a pain-free, relaxed, sexier, and happier life.
I applaud the author for this well-written and very informative book. I like the structure of how it is written, it is well organized and easy to understand as well. It made me realize that cure may be lying around somewhere in the road, in the forest, or anywhere and is free of costs. Marijuana, without proper guidance, has the potential to become as addictive as ecstasy and heroin. Of course, beneath all the larger-than-life skepticism, we are always on the lookout for the safest solution, but we all know that every undertaking comes at a risk.
Marijuana's medical potential and its legitimacy as an alternative medication have been given much emphasis throughout the book, but it has not been legalized in other countries because of its addictive substance. In the latter half, the book has mentioned Coca-Cola which too has included the said substance, however, it is not certain. It would've been nice to have full proof to make it more credible.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I was astounded by how the author presented the issue, which piqued my interest in its medical application. I've seen a lot of individuals suffer from malignancies and other diseases; they all take a lot of medication but have a lot of side effects, which is why I was interested in reading the book. I didn't give it a lower rating since it's not your average book; this book has a lot to offer, from its history to its benefits and risks, so you'll know what this thing is capable of.
I recommend this book to women of all ages with health problems like tumors on the spine, cancers, AIDS, and other maladies. This will make you interested in herbals and whatever mother earth has to offer that is lying under the sun especially in marijuana.
