The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

“Daylight won’t protect you from anything. Bad things happen all the time; they don’t wait until after dinner”

I should warn you : This is such a powerful and deep story that can bring you to tears.

Nastya Kashnikov who wants to get through life without anyone discovering her past or any one paying attention to her. Her only motive is to make the guy who took her soul away to regret he ever did that.

Josh Bennett is a guy who is not in anyone's attention since he is what people might call him a death luck, so people tend to avoid him. People he loved were taken away from him until he has no one left with him.

Nastya Kashikov is the girl who starts paying attention to him and start to blend herself into his life and learn more about him. As their relationship starts getting intense Josh Bennett finds that Nastya is just a piece of puzzle he has to solve. Will he be able to solve her? Will he be able to discover the deepest secrets she carry? Will he be able to love her despite all that has happened?

While reading people might be able to predict and think that what their prediction is right but I must say that there is a whole twist in the story that makes you shed tears and feel the sorrow. It is really powerful story about how second chances matter. Scars that will always be there but you can still move forward with them.

I give this book 5 stars because the author did a great job on imagining the story of 2 whole different person and connecting them in a very unfamiliar way. Giving them the second chance in life and making people realize that getting second chance in life is as precious as having the first :D .

I would love to know your thoughts on this book after you have read it or if you have read it.

Cheers :)
