Bitcoin Answered by Jon Law and Alan John, is an informative reference book. The book addresses almost any question you can think of regarding Bitcoin, from Bitcoin history to Bitcoin acronyms and nodes. For such a complex topic that many people (including myself) struggle to grasp, the book is written very simply and doesn’t go too far in depth. Just about anyone can understand it on a basic level.

It is evident that the authors have done extensive research and are very knowledgeable about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. From reading this book, I was able to learn a lot about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin that I did not know before. The book includes really helpful pictures so that the reader can easily associate certain aspects of Bitcoin trading with the images. The book also includes helpful links and examples, like an example of how a cryptocurrency address is written and displayed, as well as an example of Bitcoin protocols (which are more multifaceted than you would think). From reading this book my eyes were opened to Bitcoin lending. I had no idea whatsoever that Bitcoin lending existed. Now that I know about it, I will do more research and I will check to see if lending is also possible for Ethereum tokens, too. That might be profitable for me. It would be great if I were able to financially profit from knowledge I gained in this book.

I do think that this book could have been improved if some of the images were more descriptive, the graphs especially. Some of the definitions also could have been explained in more detail so that the reader can understand better, but most of the definitions were well done.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I thought it was done really well and I liked that it was mostly written at a basic level so that anyone can effortlessly comprehend it. I would have rated it 4 out of 4 stars had it not been for a few vague definitions and vague images.

I recommend this to audiences of any age that are interested in learning about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general. It is important that readers do not mix up cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. They should know that Bitcoin falls under cryptocurrency and this book is specific to information surrounding Bitcoin. So, if someone is looking for information about cryptocurrency specifically, they should select a book more broad, although this book will certainly still help with their understanding of it.
