Maryann and Brian Remsbury, a husband and wife writing team have written this hidden gem of self-help/ self-discovery literature I have had the pleasure to read as my first book of 2022.

It is a relatively short read with under 200 pages to get through. It felt like it was to the point, and it packed a punch. Once I began reading Your Adventurous Life Awaits, I couldn't put it down. I told myself a chapter a day however, I ended up reading the whole book in one sitting and going to bed later than I had planned. It read in a fly-in-the-wall type of book. Yes, there is advice and how one can apply the life lessons the couple have acquired and are sharing with their readers. There is a lesson in every chapter of the book. They pick a topic and through their life story show how one can apply said lesson to their everyday life. However, what I find most endearing about Your Adventurous Life Awaits is how personal this book feels.
I believe it is due to the way Maryann and Brian share their life story with the reader. You learn how they grew up and fell in love. Then you learn how they started their careers as well as their lovely family.

There are seven core lessons to be learned through this book. Seven important lessons that I believe every individual walking on this earth who isn't enjoying their existence on this earth can benefit from. From knowing your lane, exploring new avenues, committing to seeing things through to preparing for the unexpected, and reflecting on your growth. All these chapters are important I don't believe you can gloss over one in favor of another as they all hold valuable information.

Your Adventurous Life Awaits is well-edited, though it is written from two points of view they flow well together and do not overpower each other. The fact that there is a workbook and exercises to help you work through all that they speak of in the book is brilliant.

I recommend this book wholeheartedly and believe that high schoolers can benefit from this book. It will help with the confusion they feel about the journey of adulthood and where they are going in life. I also recommend this book to college students and people looking to change their career fields and who are afraid to take the leap.

I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars and give compliments to this writing duo as I enjoyed this book immensely.
