Chasing the Rabbit by Jerry A. Greenberg is a book that talks about a successful middle-aged businessman who is a workaholic.

The fifty five year old protagonist gets involved in an almost fatal vehicle accident that leaves him lying in a hospital bed, undergoing a steadily progressive recovery. Meanwhile, he gets stuck in a dilemma in which he has to decide whether or not to retire, whereas his wife is left devastated about the shocking incident.

Contrary to the title of the book, there is no literal rabbit being chased. For some, the rabbit is a substitute for money. For most, it is undefinable happiness. But for just about everyone, we are all in a chase after some elusive goal. I love the fact that I came across so many life lessons as I kept reading. For example, one should never think it’s too late to chase after their dreams, just like the protagonist’s wife who became a professional model in her mid-forties.

The book was exceptionally well edited as I only came across one minor error. Some slight vulgar language has been used but it’s nothing to worry about.

I rate this book four out of four stars considering all the positive aspects of the book. I did not give it a lower rating because I really appreciate the good effort put into this book.

Generally speaking, this book suits every reader out there. Though, I do highly recommend it for those who seek self motivation. Be sure to check the book out. It’s worth the time spent.
