Those who are addicted to drugs have their minds and bodies immobilized. It is also clear that people's behavior and lifestyles can be adversely affected by substance addiction. Kyle Oh's book, Why Can't Johnny Just Quit? tackles a number of controversial subjects, including drug addiction. Various substances and the people who have been affected by them are explored in this book. He outlined his objections to a typical medical explanation of addiction and gave his verifiable evidence to refute it. Find out how the author debunked, lowered, diminished, and meticulously construed all of his observations, experiments, and procedures in this excellent guide.

Because of the book's extensive use of data from scientific investigations and its painstaking completion, it's a terrific resource worth retaining. In the 17 chapters of this book, his readers' transgressions are transformed into lessons worth encapsulating. I agree with him that the way the high has been portrayed in the mainstream has contributed to the public's misperception of addiction. As he continued, he pointed out that the stereotype of a high person as someone who appears drunk or intoxicated while also appearing to be half-dozing or smiling goofy was, in fact, misleading because euphoria and drowsiness are not mutually contradictory emotions. It is indeed hard to discern an addicted person, and we cannot simply make inferences from them because we are not in their shoes.

Kyle’s claim that there is no book or resource available that attempts to combat addiction are something with which I respectfully disagree. There are a lot of experts and playwrights out there attempting to do their best to fight the disease, and I've found that many individuals have been drawn into this struggle for a long time. Even if it isn't the most practical or most effective method for dealing with drug addiction, it will still help potential readers deal with the consequences of drug consumption. Rather than dismissing other people's measures to counter this disease, I would agree with the author if he argued that drug addiction and its consequences are so pervasive and intractable that no one would ever be able to eradicate them.

Scientific study and facts were extensively used in the dissertation of this book, making it both informative and pragmatic. By including an anecdotal narrative that readers may relate to, the author has successfully piqued readers' enthusiasm. Overall, the author's tone and ability to link with his readers are impressive. However, in addition to what I have stated in the previous paragraph, I found certain flaws and inconsistencies in the book. Therefore, I'm awarding it 3 out of 4 stars. This book, on the other hand, has a significant impact on drug users.

Anyone who has been a victim of an addiction, a survivor, or a person who wants to overcome the adverse effects of an addiction can benefit from this book. The primary purpose of this is to help people better understand what they are dealing with. Furthermore, professionals in medicine and future researchers will also find this book helpful.
