Chris Pella may seem like an ordinary man, but he is not. At the early age of fourteen, Chris discovered he had an exceptional gift. Chris can experience visions of The Sainted. The Sainted are followers of God that have taken their rightful places in Heaven. Not only can Chris see these beings, but he can also communicate with them. They have told him he would come face to face with evil, and when he does, he must help.

Now, as an adult, Chris does everything he can to help those in need. Suddenly, Chris finds out a young girl has gone missing. The girl is the granddaughter of his dear friend. One of The Sainted has given Chris valuable information about her whereabouts. But can Chris save her in time? Will The Sainted have more tasks for him? And where will these visions take him?

The Sainted Trilogy by Michael Medico is a thriller novel with hints of romance. Throughout the story, Chris explores the visions from The Sainted while falling in love.

I wanted to enjoy this novel. I chose this book because of the promise of terror, suspense, and love. But all three fell significantly flat. I lost focus throughout the entire book. Chris constantly rambled on about things that had no significant importance. Because of this, scenes felt prolonged and immensely tedious. Chris would also consistently mention his Italian heritage, which quickly became overbearing. The minuscule fighting against evil Chris did was mundane and underwhelming.

I wouldn't recommend this book to any reader. I say this because the plot was more of an afterthought than a focal point. While I enjoy detailing, the details in this book were excessive and overtook the story. The storyline was also very convenient. Each problem Chris faced, he solved with little effort.

One negative aspect for me about this novel was the characters. Each character was dull and highly unrealistic. The relationship between Chris and his uncle felt forced and unnatural. Beth, Chris's love interest, had no distinct personality. Whatever Chris wanted her to be, she was. There also were no character flaws. Because of this, I could not form a connection with any of the characters. I have no positive viewpoints about this novel.

I give The Sainted Trilogy 1 out of 4 stars. I gave this rating because the plot was feeble, and the characters were unbelievable. Reading this book became more of a chore than a pleasant experience. I found over ten errors during my read.

I feel like a lot was given out to Chris. As exciting as that sounds, if poorly executed, it could be problematic for readers. Thanks for your honest feedback.

Would Chris save her life in time? Where will these visions take him. I would like to know by reading the whole book. Nice review!

Thanks for the honest review. If I had just seen the cover and read the description, I would have definitely picked it. I especially don’t enjoy weak characters like Beth. She seems to have no opinions of her own.

Any suspense novel needs strong characters to grab and hold the reader's attention. Unfortunately, that is not happening here. Nonetheless, it is an excellent review as usual.

The premise sounded quite interesting, and your summary was excellent. However, it's disappointing to learn that the novel had so many flaws. Hopefully, the author can take the fascinating concept, work to improve the issues you mentioned, and edit the book.

Despite all of the issues, I may still take a look at this novel.

Thank you for sharing your honest opinions in this review.

Wow, this story looks so interesting. Chris’ gift is cool, but I wouldn’t like to possess such a gift. I would love to know if he was able to rescue the girl.

The cover and description are definitely deceiving. And Beth truly had no personality at all. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me! :D
