No One Of Us Is As Good As "ALL" Of Us by Michael Sims is just the right manual for those that work in teams or anyone in a leadership position in any business establishment. The author urged leaders to imbibe certain principles and qualities and exhibit them to achieve an optimal result in their workplace. These principles are not merely cliché information but tips based on the author's years of experience as a professional in the restaurant and retail sectors.

With practical examples, Michael Sims wrote about the manner to treat individuals or employees and the short-term and long-term effects of treating them that way or otherwise. The benefits of teamwork, ensuring that everyone is accountable to their duties, understanding a situation adequately before making a decision based on the same, and truthfulness in a workplace were discussed extensively. Again, the effects of relegating the aforementioned to the background were laid bare. Furthermore, Sims highlighted the unique qualities of men and women that make them naturally fit for some roles. The above is, however, the tip of the iceberg.

I loved that Sims did not just succeed in foisting his opinions on his potential readers. After introducing a principle and explaining it, he backed it up with illustrations from his experiences, which made for a good appreciation of the entire concept. Also, the benefits of adopting or disadvantages of not adopting these principles are noteworthy. The comparison of the various results will aid readers in making an informed choice.

Among other lessons that became clear to me, one that stood out for me was the possible effects of treating individuals with decency, like rewarding them for the work they execute. Many people may be indifferent or averse to treating others right. However, understanding the advantages it will give an enterprise will make one understand what one is bound to lose. As much as the author wrote this book while emphasizing more on businesses, the contents are very much relevant in any sphere of life that involves people working together as a team.

This book was a very smooth read to a reasonable extent. I was barely distracted by errors, as there were not too many of them. However, they were enough to deduct one star from No One Of Us Is As Good As "ALL" Of Us. This leaves us with a rating of three out of four stars. So, this book should be proofread again. Apart from these errors, I have no complaint or dislike about the book.

This book is strongly recommended to leaders or people inclined to work with a team.

Treating people with decency, anywhere makes communication easy which makes running a team or organization easier, Mr sims seem to have gotten that right.
