Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula
Mom was to be a judge in a cooking competition, and Fromage was her right-hand cat. Fromage, Inca, Charlotte, Cara, and Terrance were excited that they were finally going to South Korea. They all understood how much this trip meant to Fromage. This was his chance to present his most prized possession to the world. The cheese he and his mom made was the most delicious cheese he had ever tasted. He was willing to share that gift with the world. He would do anything to defend it, even if it meant attacking anyone who tried to sabotage the big reveal. Inca respected that, which was why she left it all to him. On the other hand, she would do anything to look for their new friend's long-lost sister, even if it meant risking her safety.
I liked the humour in the book. Inca is a funny character. The way she described things was just so amusing. I chuckled my way through the book. I also liked Fromage's confidence. He did not care about what other people thought. He knew what he represented, and his words show that. His confidence is what I liked most in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula.
I will be honest with you on what I liked the least in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. I really dislike that each page of the book (on Amazon Kindle) is in picture format. I mean that the author probably converted the original document she wrote into a picture format. That was what she uploaded to the Amazon Kindle. Because of this, I could not highlight any sentences I liked. It also made keeping notes a bit impractical. I wish that R.F. Kristi had just uploaded it in text, not pictures.
I rate Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula 4 out of 4 stars regardless of my dislike above. That just irritated me a bit. Apart from that, I liked everything about the book, including how exceptionally well it was edited. It was educational and exciting. It was also filled with suspense, something I thank R.F. Kristi for. I cannot rate this book lower after considering all of these things.
If you love and respect animals, you should read Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. If you are a parent and you wish to teach your young students or kids how to do the same, please grab a copy of this. Also, if you just want a book that shows cats doing some of the things you will see in a James Bond movie, definitely read Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula.
