Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a children's book. It is the seventh book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series. The series, as the name suggests, is written as a diary owned by Inca, a snoopy yet intelligent cat. Inca, together with her sister, Cara, and her brother, Fromage, belonged to Missy, a young chef who they called mom. Inca owns a detective agency, which is called Inca & Company. She runs it with her siblings: Charlotte, their hamster friend; Terrance, an intelligent dog who assists Solo, a famous detective; Monk, a Russian cat also owned by Solo; and Polo, their neighbor's dog.

In this book, Inca tells us about her holiday in Sri Lanka with her family. During their stay there, they met Rani, a little turtle; Meena, a little elephant; and Meena's mother, Mama Elephant. They were enjoying their quiet and peaceful holiday at a cottage on a private beach, playing, sleeping, sightseeing, and eating when they got the news that an old sword and some valuables had been stolen from a museum they had planned to visit. However, Solo comes to Sri Lanka with Terrance because he has been contracted to investigate and find the stolen items. Inca, being a snoopy cat, heard this and informed the available members of Inca & Company. With the help of Rani, Meena, and Mama Elephant, Inca & Company make plans to find the stolen item while trying to outwit Solo and the thieves and escape danger.

I love a lot of things about the book. I love that the book is written in the form of a diary. It is not wordy; the descriptions are precise, and I could easily imagine the scenes and characters in the book and how they acted and reacted. The illustrations throughout the book also helped in making it easier to imagine. Although written as a diary, the plot development was great and perfect for children. I also love how the author incorporated some educational information, such as new words for vocabulary building, historical places in Sri Lanka, and a wonderful location for tourist visits. I like that the author used her book to teach some moral lessons. I appreciate the author introducing Inca's family and also members of Inca & Company before the main story begins.

There was nothing I disliked about the book. The book is exceptionally well-edited, as I only noticed one typographical error while reading it.

This is a fascinating, entertaining, and educational book. The author did well with the plot; it was well developed, well-paced, and easy for children to understand and enjoy. The moral lessons and the educative part of the book are factors that appeal to me. It is an amazing book, and it deserves a perfect rating. Therefore, I gladly rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to children. I also recommend it to animal lovers. The book contains valuable lessons and new information from which children between the ages of eight and twelve can learn.
