Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Matthew Tysz's We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a book filled with adventure. A young man who leaves a horrible land in search of a better land for survival.
This is a story about Galen Bray, who grew up in the land of the princes. The lands of the princes were a group of islands that were ruled by the sons of the great emperor. The lands of the princes were a difficult place to live in. There was constant war, oppression, and the citizens always found a way to escape from this land. Galen found his way and escaped to Voulhire. Voulhire was fair but was also a mysterious land. Galen was also the heir to his late uncle’s properties and business. What will life in Voulhire look like for Galen?
The characters in this book were interesting to read about. They had a special kind of uniqueness. The conversations between them were interesting to read. The author had a special way of describing characters and scenes. He made them look very real, and I could visualize every scene in my head while I was reading. The style and tone of the writing were lovely. I was glued to this book right from the start. The storyline was top-notch, and this displayed the amount of creativity invested in this book. Finally, a glossary was provided at the end of the book to help the readers. The inclusion of the map at the beginning will help the reader know the distances between the locations mentioned in the book.
I disliked how this book ended. A lot of questions were left unanswered, and I was left in suspense. Luckily, this book is part of a series, and I really look forward to reading the other books in this series. My favorite character was Rowan. He was not just a knowledgeable man, he also knew how to lighten the moment. He made me smile a lot while reading this book.
This book is worthy of a full rating. It was interesting, adventurous, and suspenseful. I am rating it 4 out of 4 stars for the reasons I stated. I did not come across any errors while reading this book, and this shows that it was exceptionally edited. This book contains some profane words, so I advise that this book be kept away from children's reach. This book was filled with adventures, so I recommend it to people who love to read books about adventures. Lovers of fantasy novels will definitely enjoy this one too.
