Stone Cold Touch Jennifer L. Amentrout (Has spoilers)

Post by BrittanyMahala »

This is the second book in The Dark Elements series. Layla is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life which isn't easy because she's sure things can't get any worse. Her best friend, Zayne, is off-limits thanks to her ability to steal a soul by kissing. The Warden clan that has always protected her is keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the hot demon that understood her in ways no one else could.

But Layla's powers are evolving and she gets a taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, Roth returns when she least expects it bringing news that could changer her life forever. She's finally getting what she always wanted, but when hell is literally breaking loose, the price may be higher than she is willing to pay.

This book mainly focuses on Layla and Zayne. It was still awesome but I'm on Team Roth. She can finally be with Zayne but is confused about how she feels for Roth. She's even more confused when Roth returns and tells her that everything between them was an act, but she can't stop having feelings for him. Zayne is really sweet and very protective, but Roth is jealous of how close Layla has gotten to Zayne, but she can't see that.

The guys are still swoon-worthy and the ending is another cliffhanger that leaves me excited and waiting for Every Last Breath (The Dark Elements #3) to come out in July. I can't wait to see who Layla picks but I'm really hoping its Roth.
