Reconfigurement, by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a book that addresses the financial crisis that arises during retirement. Thus preparing and providing solutions to combat the crisis. When age comes, most people are awakened by the shock that they can no longer afford their lifestyles. The reason for this backlash is a result of poor financial planning during their active working years. Alan is a financial adviser who also runs a firm that majors in retirement planning. This book goes beyond financial planning and also addresses career choices and paths. It provides a personality test that links the readers to their appropriate careers. This is very helpful because most times people don't consider this and the individual ends up taking a Job that's so different from who they are and it becomes a source of misery.

The author did a good job in writing this book. His research was vivid and very elaborate. The detailed research shows that the author has a lot of experience with the topic. The author has an amazing sense of humor. Since discussions on aging can be quite boring, and not enjoyable, the author's inclusion of comedy helped the readability of the book. I also enjoyed his writing style, it kept my focus. Another aspect of the book I enjoyed was the personality test and the career evaluation. Luckily for me, I am reading this early and so there's going to be a shift in my career choices. The book has numerous amazing points laid out by the author, that if followed, people will have a better retirement experience and not have to be too much of a burden.

I did not experience any negative aspects in this book to comment about.

I will rate this book a four out of four stars. This is because I enjoyed the writer's style, and how much attention he paid to his research. I got to learn a lot from the book and in addition to all these, the book was well edited.

I recommend this book to every adult out there. I mean, I am 23 and this book has impacted my life greatly. When I think of making retirement investments, I'll consult this book. Even when I want to talk to other people about making retirement plans, I'll reference this book because of its depth. Not just retiring, this book is helpful for individuals who can not make sense of what career path to take with the personality evaluation, you will be pointed to a career path that will not cause you misery. This book is an important tool for all future retirees and present-day workers of which we all qualify.
