Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfiguration by E. Alan Fleischauer was based on the author's many years of experience with the US-based investment market and career transition guidance. The book elucidates the need to plan and prepare for changes in the most diverse areas of life, but with a focus on the financial sphere. Alan's main goal is to approach complicated subjects with lightness, to the point of leading the reader to acquire more knowledge about how to balance work with what you love and best prepare for retirement.
There are several good points about the book that I can write about. One is that I loved how the book shows the initial steps for reconfiguration, suggesting tips on financial plans and budgets. Also, the numerous career assessments that are recommended can promote a better understanding of pursuing specific careers as well as can be used to change jobs or careers in a guaranteed way.
In addition to the book's sense of humor, which brings lightness to a serious subject that is often difficult to understand, Alan knows how to get the best out of them. In addition, I believe that the book can guide younger generations on what to expect in their next stages of adulthood, especially in the health area about increasing life expectancy, and financially of course.
One thing that would help the reader is to name the chapter in the Summary as well as at the beginning of the chapter. This book, in my opinion, is a must-have "review" as once the reader begins their reconfiguration setup, some topics will need to be revisited. Also, in visual matters the credits at the end of each chapter would be better placed at the end of the book - at least for the digital version, I didn't like that aspect of the digital version.
This book appears professionally edited. During the reading, I could only identify two errors that would not complicate the reader's understanding. In all other subjects, grammatical proficiency was impeccable. Reconfiguration by E. Alan F deserves a perfect 4 out of 4 stars!
The complete book is coherent and follows the expectations set out in the introduction. The data available on Reconfiguration serves young adults or even teenagers who are already thinking about retirement and finance students working on a vision of the human and financial side of reconfiguration and retirement. Additionally, the content can be useful for people immigrating to the US to learn about the future conditions of the economic workings behind the "biggest economy in the world" and to establish a culture of planning ahead that works gracefully with compound interest.
