Review of Reconfigurement
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book about reconfiguring one's life in the aspect of planning oneself. The book addresses the issue of one being able to love the job he is doing; enjoying the job before retirement; and then planning for one's retirement. Simply put, this is reconfiguring one's life and planning for the future. This book is a result of the author's discovery that people ignore planning for their retirement, and when the time comes, they become frustrated. This planning involves all-around planning but with special reference to the financial aspect of it. This book involves directions on how to plan oneself, advisory notes, and lots more. It is not too late; get a copy of this book and start planning.
I love that this book is well-detailed. This shows a great work of research by the author. It also shows a high level of experience from the author. The writing style of the author is unique; he writes as if he is in a discussion with a client. This brings the message close to home. I love the fact that the author added jokes to liven up the book. Advisory books like this one bore people sometimes, but the addition of jokes keeps one glued to the book. And I must say that I got lighted up by them.
The language used is a very simple one. The author brought it down to the understanding of a layman. You couldn't have asked for a simpler one. The book was structured into chapters for easy access. It is all wonderful. The parts where the author asks and answers questions which he feels the reader might be confused about are quite intriguing. I very much admire the book's ability to convey its message to its audience. I enjoyed the book without a doubt.
The only thing I can say I found a bit dissatisfactory with the book is that it seems like the author was directing the book only at Americans. I feel like this book will go a long way for people in many other countries. This book is exceptionally well edited, as I didn't come across any typos or errors. That being said, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. My little dissatisfaction won't prevent me from giving it a full rating.
I recommend this book to everyone who is working, especially those who are due for retirement. We must plan ourselves.
