Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Galen was losing his mind. He knew he would die if he did not leave his country. The war that had lasted more than a decade had ravaged his village and killed almost everyone he knew and loved. Galen did not want to serve as collateral damage in his ruler's quest for power. He was happy when an offer to travel to Voulhire was brought to him. The little paper requesting his presence in Voulhire was his lifesaver. Galen could not imagine how horrible his life would be if he lost that, so he hung onto it like some precious metal he was guarding jealously. Galen would go on to step foot on the sands of Voulhire, a kingdom known for its riches, cultural diversity, and unique people. Galen knew that starting a new life would not be easy, but he would have to try to do that. His survival depended on that. What kind of challenges will Galen face in this new kingdom?
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a book for every lover of fantasy and adventure. It is a book with so many elements that will end up surprising anyone who decides to read it. I highly recommend this to readers interested in a book with magic and adventure.
One of the good things about this book is that it is not a standalone novel. Let me explain. The story it told was too interesting, and I would have been devastated if the story had come to an end after the final punctuation was put in this book. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is the first book in the We are Voulhire series. From the looks of things, this series will turn out to be a huge success and a very interesting one too.
I liked that We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was edited exceptionally. Matthew Tysz sure loves to do things perfectly. I also liked the amount of detail Matthew Tysz gave on every character and event in the story. He took his time to explain things so well that I could visualize what he was talking about. For example, thanks to how he described Galen, I now have a mental picture of what Galen looks and sounds like.
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a beautiful book that was spoiled by nothing. I cannot and will not make any negative comments about it because there is nothing negative to say. The whole book was good, from its cover page to its end.
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is one of the books that I will always love. It was not just an enjoyable read but also an educative one. It taught me so much about humanity, even though it is a work of fiction. I did not despise anything about it. It was edited exceptionally well too. I have considered all the facts outlined in this review and have decided that We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies deserves an excellent rating. I rate it four out of four stars.
