Did you know that an essential aspect of financial planning is making finances? It is, and Reconfigurement was authored by E. Alan Fleischauer to disclose such basic but subtle truths and many more that we do not often think about. The author has been a financial advisor for over 20 years and wrote this book to bridge the great divide between reality and tradition. It behooves us to find newer strategies, as we are living longer but still relying on principles established to primarily serve generations with shorter life expectancies.

We are standing at a crossroads where people are torn between spending what they have and later relying solely on meager pension payments or making extra plans for retirement or the inevitabilities of life. What is undeniable is, owing to development and improvements in various spheres of life, life expectancy has increased tremendously. Fleischauer states, "Reconfigurement financial planning is a turning point." This turning point is the foundation of the paradigm shift in how we view retirement, starting with solutions that appeal to both the right and left centers of the brain.

A good self-help book does not require one to understand rocket science to apply its principles and concepts. One of the signs that this was one of the best books I had ever read on financial planning and management and making career decisions was that I was able to undergo some of the assessments and got pragmatic results. I am already adding the skills I got from the tests to my resume and LinkedIn profile. Undoubtedly, this book will help you reconfigure your career life to suit your personality, passion, and work style.

From busting prevailing myths, including myths and misconceptions surrounding Social Security and the Social Security Administration, to providing advice on healthy aging, Fleischauer leaves nothing to chance. The reader will also enjoy the jokes included in every chapter, as they make the reading experience enthralling. Overall, I disliked nothing about the book. Consequently, I rate it four out of four stars.

Aging is something that everyone who has been born goes through. Old age will eventually knock, and the best way to get prepared for this stage is to read this book, understand the concepts it contains, and begin applying some of the lessons. I am glad the author did not advise the reader to get rid of their tax and financial advisors. You will still work with them, but you will be better equipped to make informed, evidence-based decisions.

Reconfiguerement by E. Alan Fleischauer talks about planning ahead .It mostly talks about planning for retirement but it touches on a few financial topics like insurance,taxes,medicare and many more .It gives a guideline of how one may go about it.A great place to start when anyone is pondering about retirement,investing and planning ahead financially.
I would give the book 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is new to planning retirement and financial planning to consider it as a great place to start.
