Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer. E. Alan Fleischauer is an Entrepreneur and a business owner with great experience in global finance. His book Reconfigurement is written for the purpose of helping the reader adjust their life by adhering to some financial disciplines like budgeting and retirement planning. The reader gets some insight on basic and advanced financial practices described in the book. The book, Reconfigurement, as the name suggests is meant to guide readers on how to plan ahead and have more financial freedom and comfort later in life. The writer explains that your most valuable asset is your ability to earn income and therefore the major purpose for the book is to help you preserve that asset by reconfiguring yourself.

E. Alan Fleischauer's education and experience in the financial field is fully exhibited in his book. His aim is to point out ways in which one can pursue a career they love, live comfortably and enjoy life after retirement. I was impressed by the way he explained ways to reconfigure your life with basic financial knowledge like how to take advantage of insurance and retirement plans and investment while using simple words that anyone who read the book would easily understand. The writer adds good humor to his writing and some of the jokes are really funny; like the one where he bought his wife a candle after she promised to burn any stupid gift he would buy. So you don't easily get bored while reading. Though this book is specifically written to Americans, I think its addresses an issue that is affecting everyone one on the planet. I also liked the fact that the book was well edited. I didn't see any grammatical errors and typos.

I don't really have anything negative to say about this book; I enjoyed it and personally liked the career assessment suggestions he included because those actually get the reader started on their 'reconfigurement' path. It lays out a simplified solution to anyone with retirements plans.

I rate this book four out of four stars. It would be unfair of me to give it a lower rating because I feel it delivers exactly what it is intended for. Its is easily understood and the writer clearly did extensive research before writing it.

I recommend this book to everyone who works and intends to live comfortably with more financial freedom after retirement. Even though the ideal audience for the book is age 40-50, I also recommend it to age 20-30.
